What caused Murphy's death?

So 32 year old actress Brittany Murphy suffered from type 2 diabetes. There were various prescriptions drugs found in her home belonging to Murphy, her husband and mother. On Saturday, Brittany told others she was feeling ill.

Brittany Murphy was very ill in the hours before she went into cardiac arrest and died, sources tell TMZ.
We're told Murphy was taking prescription meds for flu-like symptoms she had been experiencing for several days. We're told Murphy began vomiting early Sunday morning and told family members she was feeling very ill.
Sources say various prescriptions were found in the home -- written for Brittany Murphy, husband Simon Monjack, and Brittany's mom. One source says, "There were a lot ... a lot of prescriptions in the house."

Law enforcement sources tell us Murphy collapsed in the bathroom and somehow ended up in the shower ... there was, we're told, a significant amount of vomit in the immediate area.

We're also told authorities did not find illegal drugs in the house, but Murphy was definitely taking various prescription meds.

Sources say her condition and the meds could have triggered a heart attack, but it's too early to know. An autopsy will be performed Monday or Tuesday. We reported earlier Monjack did not want an autopsy but ultimately it's the Coroner's call.

Choreographer Shane Sparks charged with Child Molestation!!
Maybe she was 16 and he was 26? A lot of teens lie about their age. why did the family wait so long to file charges? If the victim was a small child then justice will be served.

Why Can’t Grown A*s Men Just Mess with Girls Their Own Age?!?!?

VH1 has a Meaniful Reality Show FINALLY.

I stumbled across the 1st episode of sex rehab about 3 weeks ago and have been watching dutifully every week. VH1 gives EVERY one a reality show,Ray J, Master P, Eddie Griffin, Brett Michaels. They even give Reality stars there own reality shows. When I saw the cast for Sex Rehab, I thought here goes another group of has beens revealing their sordid Sexcapades.

I didn't think we (the viewers) would be allowed to explore the inner demons of 8 troubled individuals so deeply. I was in tears as Dunacan Roy, a writer & director, shared his physically and sexually abusive childhood (done by his own father) with Dr. Drew. All of the 5 females share a horrible experience of being raped. Skid Row drummer Phil Varone was one who had a great childhood but his addictions spiraled after his mom died 11 years ago.

I strongly disagree with the daily news article " Viewers will watch for the sex not rehab".

When they send out previews to the media its usually only 1 episode or about 15 minutes. The patients are not even remotely proud of their past sexual experiences, they are ashamed.
There are some juicy moments such as those caused by Kari Ann Peniche, who appeared in Playboy and lost her Miss United States Teen. Her actions even caused a staff member to be fired.
It airs Sunday nights on VH1.

Not that into you! (SO Sorry America)

I tried (REALLY TRIED) to get on the Taylor Swift Bandwagon, but I'm getting off. Taylor was sort of on my radar, then the VMA's gave Taylor whole new fan base. Thanks Kayne! I wanted to hear some of her music and support the young star. I made sure to watch every interview and enjoyed the video for "you belong with me." But I didn't really care for the other songs. Then I watched the CMA opening and was not impressed. I am not bias to country music, I love Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks. Is Miley Cyrus considered country? We are always singing Party in the USA to Mike Jr, that song is HOT!

On November 22, Tay won 5 awards and even beat out the late Michael Jackson.
There seems to be a trend in the industry for the past couple of years, (Dare I say) Cute face + Okay voice + Great Producer= SUPER STAR! (there's a current R&B beauty out there who fits this equation) Fill in the blanks...

Wendy Show 11/19/2009

I finally got to meet my "friend in my head" Wendy Williams! We share the same birthday and love of big hair and extra flair. My dear friend Tatiana managed to get the tickets last week. We were up at 5:30am and waiting in line at 7:30 for the 10am show. They fed us some donut holes and coffee and everyone was snapping pics in the fierce pink painted waiting room. DJ S&S had us jamming to some hot tracks, including a "single ladies" Dance Contest. At 10am Wendy was ready to go! She looked FAB and way svelte. The camera does add 10lbs! The show was great. And Wendy is SO funny, We really were there to see her. I admired her gigantic wedding rings and showed her my baby rock & Tati's big ole rock. "You did well! Wow and it's a recession too." She said.

I will definitely be attending another taping next year. Next time I will be wearing more stable heels, I'm still sore.

This is America...Speak SPANISH!

I'm sitting in my living room watching CNN's Latino in America and I am reflecting on my own Latino experience. I am not Latina, I'm Black. Really I'm Black, my Mom & Dad are Black and so are my Grandparents. It's a little mixed up after that...Anyway, I look Latina(Dominican or Puerto Rican whatever we all Black at the core) and I grew up in East NY which is full of Spanish Speaking people. I think that after going away to school and 9/11 I began to notice how other American's treat Latinos. Here is my own Latino in American from a Black in Americans point of view,

1- I see how frustrated people get if some one doesn't speak English. Especially business owners. But they don't mind taking their money. That's why advertisers push so hard to the Latin Market...(Mcdonalds the main culprit)

2-Why are Mexicans seen as the bottom of the Totem Pole? I hear "I'm not Mexican eww!!"And plenty of Mexican jokes. Hey they are descendants of Warriors and Artists.I LOVE Mexicans. They got Tequila, Frida Kahlo and Mole. Also I'm fascinated by Aztecs.

3- UGLY BETTY!! Love that show BUT they are Mexican family right? The actors who play them are PR, Cuban etc So funny to me!

4- Men LOVE Latinas. What's up with that? I swear they are disappointed when they find out I'm not Latina or Brazilian. But TYRA did a show on race & sex and the Male Panel wanted the Asian woman first, then White, Latina and lastly Black. Even Maxim mag and Cosmo have lots of Latina's gracing their pages.(But they are usually light skinned)

5-I only know like 2 Cubans...PS I really want to visit Cuba so BAD.

6-Whats up with the recklessness at the Puerto Rican Parade? I've been to PR and they donot act like that! I saw one year these girls walking around with backless denim shorts!!! Yes on 5th ave with butt cheeks hanging out!!

7-Hispanic...latino what they diff?

8-it kills me people buy Che Guervara T-shirts and don't know anything about him!

I love my fellow Latinos. I grew up with the culture all around me. It's different when you meet people from different countries Argentina, Cuba, Panama, Mexico, DR...
But the common bond that I see is the language.
(upside down ? goes here)Como estas? aka How U Doin?

Jay-z is bigger than Elvis!! Whoa

Jay-Z and 'Blueprint 3' Top Elvis in No. 1 Records
Sarah Ball

Jay-Z's new Blueprint 3 earned the rapper his 11th No. 1 berth on the Billboard 200 chart of U.S. album sales─enough to crush Elvis's record and become the solo act with the most No. 1 records in the chart's half-century history. Jay will also have the second-most No. 1 albums among all acts, ever─bested only by The Beatles, who have 19 No. 1 albums.

I love Mr. Carter and respect his work ethic. People say Elvis is a king, Michael Jackson is a king. Don't you think Jay is a king too...Well he's still on this earth, but I can't compare him to anybody else in Hip-Hop.

P.s Don't you love D.O.A. and ALready Home w/ Kid Cudi from B3?

You n***** singin too much,
Get back to rap you T-Pain’n too much
Ah, I’m a multi-millionaire
So how is it I’m still the hardest n—a here?
I don’t be in the project hallway
Talkin’ bout how I be in the project all day
That sounds stupid to me,
If you a gangsta, this is how you prove it to me

Thank God & Gaga for the 2009 Vma's

After consecutive years of sucking, the Video Music Awards were actually good this year. Of course I was watching True Blood @ 9 so I had 2 watch the M J tribute on repeat...which was Amazing!!! Madonna was so on point with her speech Michael was a King and only human. (thats a whole other story.)

I even missed Kanye rant. I love that everyone was Facebooking while watching the VMA's and I was quickly sent a YouTube Link of the childish rapper yelling "Taylor for your great but Beyonce had the best video of the year!". Wow! I always say Kanye says what every one is afraid to, but I guess he's on another ego trip and feels like he has nothing to lose(Which he doesn't). He apologized on his blog and this whole douchebag moment will be forgotten in like 2 weeks when another superstar beats up his girlfriend, shows her crotch or gets caught drunk driving.

Another great moment was the DIVA herself Beyonce, who killed it! She later won a moonman and had Taylor come on stage with her. Beyonce is truly America's sweetheart, all she has to do now is have Jay-z's baby!

Did you see Lady Gaga's last outfit? She looked like the Cowardly lion and Scarecrow lovechild! But she is always innovative and her album is so HOT!!! Love her and her Carrie inspired performance.

Jay-z ended the show with ALicia Keys & LIL MAMA??? WTF. Why does every one have to run onstage @ MTV, get better security or at least tell the artist NO!. Better yet hire CHILD Wranglers.

P.S. Russel Brand is NOT funny

Super Silly Senators

I watched about 30 minutes of Pres. Barack Obama's address to the senate last night (Glee was on SORRY) I loved the energy and enthusiasm of all the senators as he outline the Health care bill. They were all standing up and cheering. Even old Charley Rangel got on his feet. I think the most touching moment was when Obama read a letter from the late senator Kennedy. He wrote it on his deathbed. This moment was overshadowed by a Stupid Silly Senator from South Carolina( HA!) Joe Wilson. I was checking my Yahoo when I saw the video of him crying out "YOU LIE!"

WTF!!!! Grow up dude. I also notice some senators were texting and holding up signs. I told my husband look at the guy texting during the presidents address what the hell is so important. YOU ARE @ Work. (Even though we all text on the job but this is the president)

Just plain disrespectful!! Why are these republican so intimidated by Obama, Who I think is kind of Nerdy. They are afraid of Change. You didn't see the Dems acting a fool when Bush's SILLY Self was making speeches. This MOB MENTALITY is getting out of hand.

"I was incredibly disappointed in the tone of his speech,” said Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.).”At times, I found his tone to be overly combative and believe he behaved in a manner beneath the dignity of the office. I fear his speech tonight has made it more difficult — not less — to find common ground.

SEE THAT FEAR!!!!

And Baby makes 3! (in the bed?)

See even the DOCTOR JIM says babies sharing the bed is ok! What do u think? I thought MJ would b in his rm @ 1st but when the kids get here its all different.
My son Mikey Jr. has the best room in the entire apartment. It's painted warmly, with a chic nautical theme going on. 200$ bedding and a white convertible crib, sailor clock and white molding all around. Sadly, he only enjoys it during changing and dressing. I know he started out in the bassinet in our room, now he's always in the bed with me and the hubby! I swear it started with me being afraid on the weeknights when Mike sr. is working at the Casino. Then Mike says MJ is uncomfortable in the bassinet, and I agree adding it's easier to nurse him late at night.
Now Mikey is 7 months old and pushing his Dad out the bed and breastfeeding when ever he can get into my bra. TIME TO GO!!!!! I'm going to miss my lil' booger. Fellow parents we all have this dilemma, and Non- Parents think we are weird...until it happens to them! Grandparents swear the baby will get crushed( I know a dear friend it happened to back in the 70's) but they know we were up in the bed with them too!

Follow Dr. Jim Sears advice: Don't take sleeping pills or alcohol before bed. Baby should sleep on a firm mattress on his back, Mom should sleep in the middle. And get them out slowly at 6 months!

Inauguration Celebration!

This was truly a day to remember in American history. I woke up around 10:30 am and headed straight for the television. I had fresh tears in my eyes as I thought about America swearing in the first black President. My grandparents grew up in a Jim Crow South, and my parents tell stories of racial profiling and being chased home from school. I remember 2 summers ago riding my bike home from work in Pennsylvania, I heard a horn blow. I looked up expecting to see a co worker and was met by a middle finger from a young white man.

Obama's Inauguration was remarkable. Here are some of my fav moments.
- Using Lincoln's bible to be sworn in.
-See all the past Vice Presidents and Presidents. (Bush Senior is over the hill)
- Justice Roberts and Obama's obvious nervousness.
- The Neighborhood ball! Ah the first dance was beautiful. Michelle's Jason Wu gown amazing! (Should have had an updo)
- Waving goodbye to GW Bush as his plane left DC
-Jill Biden Kick ass Knee hi boots and Grey knit dress! CUTE and SEXY.\

* Prayers go out to Ted Kennedy who suffured from a seizure at 2:35 pm during the luncheon.

Miracle plane landing in NYC

WOW! All 155 passengers and flight crew members survived an emergency landing on the Hudson River yesterday afternoon. The US Airways flight 1549 left LGA heading toward Charlotte NC, when birds got caught in a engine. The pilot tried to head to Teterboro Airport but decided to land in the 32 degree waters of the Hudson River instead. Ferry crews that transports commuters from Jersey to Manhattan arrived in less that 3 minutes and began to pick up the passengers. Two people were in the waters and only two children were on the flight. Today Mayor Bloomberg presented a key to the city to the Pilot Chelsea Sullenberger, (hello book deal and tv movie)who cannot talk to the media until the investigation is complete.

BROOOOOOOOOOKKKKKKKLLLLYN! Does MTV

SO Im watching the tube as usually and happen to flip by MTV. (I only watch Run's House and the occasional True Life) and there is a clip for the new Real World. At first you see BK Bridge and then theres a hip white guy with a faux hawk. Im like oh S*!@# Why.
Well I was raised in BK and for the last 24 years (23 1/2 if you count my stint in Stint in SC) Brooklyn will always be seen as the hood to me. I mean yeah we have Prospect Heights and what not, But growing up we had East NY, Bed STuy, Flatbush, Crown Heights. It was a balancing act of neighborhoods. The Hasidic community in Canarsie to the Italians in Bensonhurst and hippies in DUMBO/Cobble Hill. Hell there are mansions in BAY Ridge( I've seen them when I got lost going to Kings Plaza Mall)

Now most of the neighborhoods are being gentrified. Mainly due to the housing boom of the past 4 years. I mean my Family pays 700 a month for rent. So it stills tickles me to see a college type kid getting off the A at Broadway Junction.

On Wednesday Jan 7th at 10 I will boost up my MTV viewing and tune in for the first episode. I hope they show the good the bad and the ugly of our fine borough.
